Summer dresses are definitely a staple in Summer style! Since I'm still not too comfortable with wearing anything too short, I tend to gravitate toward maxis! This gorgeous olive colored maxi from F21 is perfect for the upcoming warmer temps and still has a little bit of sexiness to it! I can't remember if hubby picked this one up or if I did, but regardless of who, I'm glad it's in my closet! This week, I'm teaming up with Candy from The Style Cake as we showed up and are showing out with our fits! Come on in and see our finished styles and learn a little more about Candy!
Meet Candy! Candy is an entrepreneur who loves shoes and is the creative director of The Style Cake! She also has a pure love for vintage pieces and has previously owned an online vintage store. She also is married mama who actually resides here in MI! We have to link up sometime to do an actual shoot together! I'm hatching a plan on getting together to shoot with Candy and Telly from Telly Loves Fashion (shhhh, don't tell them yet though, still working it out in my head)! Candy's look is phenomenal with this crochet dress (and we totally didn't plan to wear the same color, but hey...), but come on, look at her! EVERYTHING she wears looks amazing!
You can see more of her look at her blog, The Style Cake, and subscribe while you're there!

So after gray, olive (or army green, take your pick) is my favorite color to wear. Pair that with it being a long maxi and I am a happy woman. Now this dress clearly is long enough to wear a heel with, which is RARE for me (I would do a wedge), but I just wasn't feeling it this day AND I really wanted to rock Francois again (told you, back to back to back with this bag)! I threw on these amazing gladiators that hubby randomly bought home with it and they were perfect! Minimal jewels, let's go!
Hubby and I stumble across this cute little fair in Birmingham when he shot these. Birmingham is such a cute little city and I will certainly be shooting there again when there's nothing going on at the area park! I though it was the perfect background for this outfit and I totally robbed someone's porch for a few snaps (hope you don't mind, lol)!
Happy Friday Loves! ♥ Here's to a stress free weekend full of great food, weather and spirits!
Make sure you check out Candy and The Style Cake and follow!
